TAMPA, Fla.--President Bush delivered a spirited defense Tuesday of his proposal to give government contracts to religious-based organizations that provide social services.
Calling himself "four-hammer George" for his occasional prowess at pounding home a nail with only four strokes, Bush was part of a team that helped build a house here under the Habitat for Humanity program, which is dedicated to housing low-income people.

When George W was a little bitty babe
No bigger than his name
He picked up a hammer
And he hit his poor thumb,
And he went out and found someone to blame,
(Lord, Lord!)
He found him somebody else to blame.
Now, Georgie's daddy, he was Big George.
As big as he could be.
And he said to Little George:
"Like the Pharaohs of old,
I'm gonna build me a dynasty",
(Lord, Lord!)
"I'm gonna make me a dynasty".
So they put little Georgie in the big school,
Called Elihu Yale
And he boola-boola-ed here,
And he boola-boola-ed there.
And some say he boola-ed into jail,
(Great God!)
Some say he boola-ed into jail.
Well, Big George, he was angry.
'Said: "You ain't nothin' more to me.
I'm gonna bring your brother Jeb
Right down on the job,
Of buildin' my dynasty"
(Lord, Lord!)
" Of makin' my dynasty ".
But Georgie, he said "Poppy!
I'm sorry as a man can be!"
I'm gonna get me a wife
And straighten out my life
With the hammer a' destiny".
(Lord, Lord!)
"With the hammer a' destiny".
Then Georgie hammered in the scriptures
Studyin' on the Jesus way.
He said "I'm gonna stand
As a sanctified man
When I'm called to my Judgment Day",
(Lord God!)
"When I'm called to my Judgment Day".
Little Georgie studied in the mornin'
And he studied most all a' the night
And he tried his best,
But he couldn't past the test
So he gave up without a lick a' fight.
(Oh Lord!)
Gave up without a lick a' fight.
Then Georgie looked up to Heaven
'Said " Lord, I just don't know".
Looks like I can't do
The job on your crew
So I'll just have to hammer Down Below".
(Great God!)
" I'll just have to hammer Down Below ".
So they made little Georgie the Governor
Hammerin' out laws with his pen
And for every thing
That he gave the common folk
He gave another five to his friends,
(My God!)
He gave another five to his friends.
And they hammered George into the White House
And he's there to this very day
With all the enemies
Of the civil liberties,
In a holy and self-righteous way.
(Thanks, Lord!)
In a holy and self-righteous way.
Now, you folks wanta listen,
To the lesson in my tale:
When you hear a man
Say he's hammerin' out a plan,
Make sure that you ain't the nail,
(Good God!)
Make sure that you ain't the nail.
