There's much to admire
In the man George Bush.
I like the cut of his jib.
He's never been caught
In a provable lie,
And only occasionally fibs.
They say he's mediocre
As if that's bad to be.
But throughout his career
He's grown ever nearer
To the pinnacle of adequacy.
CHORUS:
For he's a can-do man in a can-do land
With a can-do attitude
In America-Land, to say "I can"
Is no mere platitude
And I've seen him face a challenge,
Square off right then and there,
Roll his sleeves up to his shoulders,
Hunker down like a grizzly bear
Flex his arms, and fix it
With a powerful, purposeful stare
What obstacle thus would defy him?
What misfortune even dare?
For he's a can-do man in a can-do land
With a can-do attitude
In America-Land, to say "I can"
Is never considered rude
And, in the end, when nothing has changed,
And the problem remains unsolved,
At least you know he gave it a go,
At least he was kind of involved.
Oh, there's a fly in the ointment,
That much I have to grant,
It's about our disappointment when
The can-do man
Well...can't.
In America-Land, to say "I can"
Is the height of rectitude
There's much to admire
In the man George Bush.
I like the cut of his jib.
He's never been caught
