Prague is one of the greatest cities in Europe and this is why millions of tourists are visiting every single year. It doesn’t matter the time of the year – you will find as many visitors in summer as in winter. The reason for this is because many people want to go and feel the magical atmosphere of Prague. Of course as any other crowded place you may find some problems while you are looking for accommodation.
My personal advice to you is to start planning your vacation at least a month earlier. You will have plenty of time for to see which place is worth and which one is not. A couple of years ago me and my family decided to go somewhere for the winter vacation. We were wondering among Prague, Brussels and Warsaw since the three places are really nice cities and have lots to offer. The first thing we did was to make a research and see what the prices of apartments are. To tell you the truth, after long time spent in front of the computer we realize one thing – apartments in Dubrovnik was really easy to find because first it had lots of choices and second the prices were considerably acceptable. Venice apartments were pretty expensive while apartment in Zagreb was extremely hard to find due to lots of tourists who visit Poland’s capital during this period.
Once we realized that Prague is our place we started looking for a certain Prague apartment that meets our budget and expectations. It wasn’t a hard task since we’ve started this really soon – probably the main reason we’ve found an accommodation so easy. I’ve spoken with a couple of friends who has been trying to book a place one week before Christmas but everything was full.
Now let’s say a few words about the city. There were literally tens of thousands of tourists all over Prague so prepare yourself – if you want to find a place where you can relax properly – Prague is definitely not your spot. As a whole Prague is a magical city during the winter and you will feel its atmosphere – it is superb and can’t be described with simple words. Of course like every tourist you will probably want to try something local – I can recommend you the hot wines and soups – definitely a must try. The tourists are of all age and this is good because there is place for everyone. You know sometimes you may find it hard to find a nice place to spend a couple of hours – no matter if we are talking about clubs or cafes. But anyway, don’t miss the bars, hotels, kaffehauser and last but not least the beerhalls. I hope that I managed to help you with my personal experience. The only thing you need to remember is to book everything earlier because if you don’t you may find big difficulties in finding accommodation.
